• Cornershop

Cornershop released When I Was Born for the Seventh Time a decade ago. It was a brilliant feel-good album with the breakout single, "Brimful of Asha". The lads of Cornershop were alternately loose and tight and brought a mix of eastern instruments to their pop pastiche. I've sorta lost touch with them since then, but if their 2002 release is any indicator, they dropped their band sound for more of a eclectic DJ-disco vibe. This song portrait experiments with some sitar and saz and loose and tight.
